My work is concerned with the history and materiality of everyday objects and discovering new potential in used goods in order to start a dialogue within the environmental surroundings. In some ways, I am exercising flexibility of the things I come across: being drawn to bending, folding, cutting and stacking, enables me to 'revive' and to 'get to know' some ordinary objects and materials. Although quite abstract in its appearance, the work is often figurative. Human figure or only the actions or feelings are sometimes represented by used materials and by what is happening to them. Often present narration in my work is connected to the process of making and sometimes based on obscure metaphors or personal symbols. Through transforming and combining materials into objects and constructions, I question the relationship between the solid and the fragile, the light and the heavy, the permanent and the ephemeral.
